Transport Refrigeration Units and Container Gensets

Propane Tank Traders supplies transport refrigeration units (TRUs) and diesel generator sets for reefer trailers, straight trucks and refrigerated containers. The range covers trailer-mounted Thermo King and Carrier Transicold units, truck-mounted T-Series and Spectrum multi-temperature systems, auxiliary power units, and the 15 kW clip-on and undermount gensets that keep a reefer container running away from shore power.

Units are offered new and as inspected used equipment. Every used unit is run-tested and its engine hours are confirmed before it leaves the yard, and we will send you the serial plate, hour meter reading and photographs of the actual unit before you commit.

Trailer and Truck Refrigeration Units

Trailer units — the Thermo King SB and Precedent families and the Carrier X4 series — mount on the nose of a 48 or 53 foot van and pull box temperatures down to -20°F for frozen freight. Truck-mounted T-Series and Spectrum units serve smaller rigid bodies and multi-temperature distribution work, where one unit feeds two or three separate compartments at different setpoints.

Clip-On and Undermount Gensets

A refrigerated container has no engine of its own. Our 15 kW diesel gensets supply the 460 V, three-phase, 60 Hz power a reefer container needs while it is on the road. Clip-on gensets pin to the front of the container in minutes; undermount gensets bolt under the chassis and stay with the trailer.

Freight and Lead Times
