Meet the Founder
Propane Tank Traders was started by Ivan Cooper, right here in Little Rock, Arkansas. After years of working in the propane and energy industry, Ivan saw how difficult and expensive it was for homeowners, contractors, and businesses to purchase propane tanks directly — most were forced to rent from local gas companies at inflated rates with long-term contracts. He founded Propane Tank Traders to change that: a straightforward online store where customers can buy ASME and DOT-certified tanks at fair prices, shipped to their door.
“I started this business because I believe people should have the option to own their propane tank, not rent one forever,” Ivan says. “We keep it simple — quality tanks, honest pricing, and real customer service from real people in Arkansas.”
Our Story
Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, we work directly with leading U.S. manufacturers — Quality Steel Corp, Manchester Tank, and Newberry — to offer factory-sealed, pressure-tested propane tanks at competitive prices. Every new tank we sell is certified, inspected, and backed by our 30-day return guarantee.
Since opening, we have shipped tanks to customers in all 50 states — from 120-gallon residential units for rural homes to 30,000-gallon industrial bullets for commercial operations. We are a registered business in the state of Arkansas.

Delivery & Shipping
We ship tanks nationwide through trusted freight carriers at a flat rate of $350 per order within the contiguous United States. Alaska and Hawaii shipments are quoted separately. Delivery typically takes 3–10 business days depending on tank size and your location.

Quality Assurance
All new tanks are factory-sealed under vacuum and sourced from trusted manufacturers including Quality Steel Corp, Manchester Tank, and Newberry. Our used and scrapped tanks are inspected prior to listing. Every tank we sell is ASME or DOT certified.
