Description
The Carrier Transicold PowerLINE undermount genset is a 15 kW diesel powerpac that mounts under a container chassis rather than clipping to the front of the container. It is self-contained — engine, generator, control box, fuel tank and battery in one frame — and is designed for quick fitting to nearly all standard ISO chassis trailers. Listed at $8,700, low hours.

Undermount or Clip-On?
An undermount genset stays with the chassis. That is its advantage and its limitation. The container’s front wall stays clear, the overall height stays low for bridge and dock clearance, the fuel tank can be larger, and the driver never has to fit or remove anything. But the genset is dedicated to that chassis — it cannot be moved to whichever container needs power today. Fleets with a fixed reefer chassis pool buy undermount; drayage operations moving mixed containers buy clip-on.
Reading the PowerLINE Model Numbers
The suffix identifies the emissions family, and it is the part that matters for compliance. Series 5 is EPA Tier 4 interim, Series 13 is EPA Tier 4, Series 24 meets the 2023 CARB requirement for 8-19 kW engines, and Series 55 is built to EU Stage V for export markets. Buying the wrong series for the jurisdiction you operate in is an expensive mistake — tell us where the unit will work and we will confirm the right one.
Applications
Reefer container drayage, port and terminal haulage, intermodal reefer moves, and any operation running refrigerated containers on chassis away from shore power.
Freight
Ships on a flatbed with forklift loading; the unit has forklift pockets. Freight is quoted to your delivery ZIP code.
