Shipping Destinations

Propane Tank Traders ships to all 50 U.S. states. Shipping availability for territories and international destinations is determined on a case-by-case basis — please contact us for a quote.

Shipping Costs

• Standard Ground Shipping: Calculated at checkout based on tank size, weight, and destination ZIP code
• Free Shipping: Available on select orders over $2,500 — eligibility shown at checkout
• Large/Heavy Freight (500+ gallon tanks): Delivered via LTL freight. Freight charges will be quoted separately before order confirmation
• Local Delivery & Installation: Available in select areas — contact us for availability and pricing

Processing & Handling Time

• In-stock items: Orders are processed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays)
• Large industrial tanks (2,500+ gallons): Delivery timelines vary by availability and location — typically 5–14 business days. We will contact you to confirm before shipping
• Special-order items: Lead times will be communicated at the time of order

Estimated Delivery Times

• Small tanks (under 500 lbs): 3–7 business days after processing
• Mid-size tanks (500 gallon – 2,000 gallon): 5–10 business days after processing
• Industrial tanks (2,500+ gallons): 10–21 business days after processing

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays due to carrier issues, weather, or other factors beyond our control may occur.

Freight Delivery — Large Tanks

Heavy and oversized tanks are shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight. You will receive a tracking number and a call from the freight carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. Please ensure adequate space and equipment is available to unload the tank upon arrival.

Delivery & Installation Services

We offer full delivery and professional above-ground and underground installation services in select areas. Contact us at sales@propanetanktraders.com or (888) 555-7300 to check availability in your area and receive a installation quote.

Order Tracking

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order ships. Large freight orders will include a freight carrier tracking number and estimated delivery window.

Damaged Shipments

Inspect all deliveries before signing. If the item appears damaged, note the damage on the delivery receipt and contact us within 5 business days with photos. See our Return & Refund Policy for full details.
