What Changed With the T-Series
Three things, in Thermo King’s own accounting. The exterior skin moved to a durable moulded plastic that resists the loading-bay knocks that dent a metal cowl. The engine and compressor were both made more efficient, so capacity went up while operating speed went down. And the hybrid SmartPower option arrived. Thermo King quotes an in-cab noise reduction of up to 87 percent with SmartPower engaged.
