Description
The Thermo King SL-200 is the mid-capacity model in the SL trailer family and the diesel-only counterpart to the SL-200e. If a trailer never plugs in, there is no reason to pay for a standby motor, and the SL-200 is the version for exactly that operation — line-haul work where the trailer is either rolling or parked away from power. Listed at $8,500.

Cycle-Sentry and Continuous Run
Continuous run keeps the evaporator fans turning all the time, which gives even air distribution and tight temperature control — the right mode for fresh produce that needs airflow as much as it needs cold. Cycle-sentry starts and stops the engine to hold setpoint, which uses far less fuel and is the right mode for frozen freight that does not care about airflow. The wrong mode for the commodity is one of the most common causes of a load claim, and it costs nothing to get right.
Applications
Long-haul chilled and frozen freight, produce, protein and dairy, and fleets that want the SL platform’s simplicity without paying for standby capability they cannot use. If your trailers do dwell at powered docks, the SL-100e or SL-200e will pay the difference back in fuel.
